On Saturday October 11th, the population of small town Bromölla in Skåne county temporarily increased by about 40 people as a result of the ”new era SAAB meeting” organized by SAAB fanatics Kristoffer Bengtsson and Philip Salonen.
Both gents are proud owners of a 9-5NG and 9-4X respectively and were keen to get as many models on site, but in particular the really odd more recent ones: 9-2X and 9-7X.
They didn’t only succeed with this, but many more generations were represented as over forty other SAAB’s joined from all over the Southern parts of Sweden, including several 9-5NG’s, OG900 Turbo, 9-3 cabriolet, several 9-3X’s, a Sonett 3, a 9000 Talledega, and 9-5OG, 9-3OG, 9-3NG’s.
After lots of SAAB talk a tour through the beautiful landscape followed, passing the Åhus harbor and beach and the world-famous Absolut Vodka factory.
The day was closed off with a group dinner and for the ones staying over the night, further SAAB talks followed home at Philip’s place!
Thanks to Lena Stridh and Erik and Edwin Punt for their pictures.
